First off, bigger prizes. The Entertainer of the Year for 2009 will receive $500, a Tiara, a Trophy, a dance spot in the Intensive show that night- "A Night in the City of Riches", and a workshop and show performance in the Intensive line-up for 2010. Not bad so far, huh?
As much due to time constrants as anything, the new time limits are 5 minutes for Pre-liminary round and 7 minutes for the Finals. We will now be taking 25 entries, instead of the old 20 from years past.

LOL...I believe the show they will be dancing in will be the Saturday night show...which currently is "Viva RAKS Vegas" ...although that is subject to change.
I'm very excited about the bigger prize!! I realize that there are going to be a ton of changes...and that many folks are resistant to change; HOWEVER...I think you have some very awesome and glorious ideas that are really going to make WOW truly a standard in the industry!!!

the Changes sound great! How about 6 minutes for prelim, though, 5 minutes is soooo short! What is the prize for Headliner? Looking forward to 2009!

I know 5 minutes is short and will take some reworking, but it is a time thing more than anything else. Neither Smira nor I want overlaps, we want everyone to be able to do it all!! So I have only a few hours to fit in the Entertainer category after the workshops and before the big evening show. Finalists get a little longer time, because only half of the contestants will be preforming on Saturday. You can do it, I know you can!!!
